NGF seeks to empower new leaders of tomorrow through literacy achievement, teen leadership, and enrichment and educational programs that will make a positive impact on their lives.

Smarter Me is a tutoring program for children in grades K-5 who need help with reading. Our main goals are to improve basic reading and comprehension skills, reach grade level in reading, motivate children to incorporate reading into their daily lives, and enhance their educational performance in school by providing one-on-one tutoring sessions on Saturdays. In addition to reading, students are welcome to bring homework assignments on other subjects for assistance.

College Application Essay Assistance provides college applicants help with their college application essays. NGF will not write it for them, but we will proofread and provide feedback.

FOCUS Aid provides financial assistance to students so they may participate in enrichment activities offered by school clubs.  Enrichment activities include school-sponsored academic, sports, music, and arts programs and class field trips. NGF partners with schools to identify eligible students. These students are nominated by schools’ social workers, counselors, and teachers.  We support up to $100 per student per year.
