Every child deserves a chance!

At Next Generation Focus (NGF), we believe that academic improvement and success will help keep children in school, out of the juvenile justice system, and away from drugs and alcohol.

We reach out to PreK-8 students in local economically challenged families through our SmarterMe® Programs, which:
  • Provide low-cost, grade-appropriate, and individualized tutoring and enrichment in reading, mathematics, and STEM according to school district standards
  • Expose children to new ideas and skills
  • Teach teamwork, leadership, good work ethics, and fair-play
  • Promote self-esteem, self-confidence, and respect for others
  • Provide a safe place to socialize and make new friends
We intentionally recruit local high school teens as our SmarterMe® tutors and mentors. Our certified teachers who are from local schools train the teens and mentor the children. SmarterMe® provides a forum for the teens to learn leadership skills, social responsibility, increase their awareness of people in different social-economic conditions and participate in training relevant to their immediate futures. Our teens are the reason our children respond so well to the curriculum created by our wonderful teachers.
Since 2008, NGF has served more than 2,500 students (see our Timeline).  During the school year of 2016 to 2017, our team of 80+ adult and teen volunteers  served over 500 PreK-8 students in multiple schools in the Forsyth and Gwinnett Counties of Georgia.
